Our client, an established digital media start-up, is seeking a proactive and resourceful Human Resources Coordinator. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day HR inquiries, problems and changes from employees and management. This includes responding to questions and resolving issues, HR Systems, employee life cycle data entry, and employee file and HR records maintenance. The Human Resources Coordinator will serve as a key contributor to the growth and stability of the organization.

Salary/Rate: $25 – $30/hr

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Coordinator:

  • Own and continually refresh the new hire/onboarding experience, ensuring that new hires smoothly transition into their positions (benefits, tax withholding, direct deposit, studio involvement, etc.)
  • Manage timekeeping software and train new hires on program
  • Coordinate all aspects of the recruiting process
  • Ensure data integrity in HRIS (WorkDay) systems
  • Daily maintenance of HRIS systems: entering new employees, issuing time cards, and updating employee information, Benefits Enrollments, etc
  • Serve as first point of contact for employees for day-to-day requests, as well as manager inquiries on HR issues 

Qualifications of the Human Resources Coordinator

  • 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solver
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of NYS employment law

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
