ICP-MS Technician

Our client, a company that provides high-quality environmental laboratory and field sampling services to its clients. They focus on providing reliable laboratory data and superior customer service to a diverse range of clients. They are seeking a ICP-MS Technician to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25 – $28/hr

Position Overview:

The experienced ( 2 years) ICP-MS Technician will be a part of the Metals Department to assist with and perform a variety of tests in accordance with the company’s established procedures. The ICP-MS Technician will maintain logbooks and record results.

Responsibilities of the ICP-MS Technician:

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using both standard and complex testing
• Operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments
• Performs laboratory procedures requiring knowledge of scientific methods and testing procedures
• Batching and prepping samples for analysis taking into account special and varied client and QA requirements
• Making reagents for sample analysis

Qualifications for the ICP-MS Technician:

• At least 2 years of experience using  ICP or ICP/MS  in academic or environmental lab setting
• Knowledgeable in EPA 600 and SW 846 Standard Methods
• At least 2 years of Industrial Laboratory experience
• Attention to detail and time management is a plus
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem solving skills
• Must be computer proficient
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures
• Capable of working independently & as a team player
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills

Education Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in any scientific courses is preferred
