Our client is an industry-leading global pharmaceutical company based in Eastern Long Island. They are currently looking to add an IT Systems Support Administrator (Laboratory) to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$75k – $80k plus OT and bonus

Position Overview:

This IT Systems Support Administrator (Laboratory) will be responsible for the administration and overall technical support for all hardware, software, and laboratory applications. This ideal candidate will assist in managing the implementation and support of all laboratory systems. They will resolve daily hardware and software issues within a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities of the IT Systems Support Administrator (Laboratory):

  • Provide administration, support, and maintenance of all laboratory computer systems and servers as well as support for applications utilized in the lab environment.
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades as needed and generate the necessary documents to maintain the system validated status.
  • Integrate 3rd-party applications and services into the lab environment with knowledge and understanding of qualification & validation documentation.
  • Troubleshoot network, server, client, printer, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Analyze, identify, and implement enhancements, upgrades and/or solutions to improve the overall support of the desktop platform.
  • Develop, document, and conduct periodic inventories of client systems while sharing significant knowledge of the operating system, desktop hardware and peripherals, application packaging, desktop tool development, software distribution, and core desktop applications.
  • Provide end user training of Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications of the IT Systems Support Administrator (Laboratory):

  • 3 – 5 years plus of relevant experience with supporting Windows-based PCs/Laptops, printers, network devices, and laboratory software.
  • Must be familiar with Computer System Validation and have knowledge on FDA requirements and 21CFR Part 11.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Life Science, or equivalent industry experience
