Position Overview:

As a Junior Accountant / Payroll Clerk, you will play a vital role in the Finance department, specifically in month-end closing activities and processing payroll for esteemed clients in the transportation industry. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in these areas and possess a solid educational background in accounting, economics, or finance.

Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant / Payroll Clerk:

  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and process payroll accurately and timely for the transportation industry clients.
  • Maintain payroll records, including deductions, adjustments, and employee information updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing.
  • Stay up-to-date with payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in general accounting tasks and support other finance functions as needed.

Qualifications for the Junior Accountant / Payroll Clerk:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in month-end closing and payroll processing.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in payroll systems and software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
