Junior Chemist

Our client is a well-established midsize consumer goods organization focused on personal care. They are currently going through a tremendous growth phase and looking for an eager Junior Chemist to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60k Annually depending on experience

Position Overview:

General duties of the Junior Chemist include developing new personal care formulations for customer or marketing use in addition to identifying variations in the procedure that would affect results. The ideal candidate for the Junior Chemist role would be someone with a passion for formulations and a year of experience in a personal care or cosmetics environment.

Responsibilities of the Junior Chemist:

• Developing new formulations for customer or marketing use
• Identifying variations in procedure or product which could affect results
• Supplying ingredients listings, filling weights, technical information, etc.
• Ensuring formulas are accurate before the initial production run
• Working with process engineers to create procedures for scale-up
• Maintaining knowledge of all stages of finished goods production and pertinent documentation

Qualifications of the Junior Chemist:

• 1 or more years of experience in formulation for color/skincare and/or personal care
• A passion for the personal care industry

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science
