Our client in the health insurance and benefits industry is currently seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join their team. The health insurance and benefits industry are undergoing rapid digital transformation. Today, most people choose, enroll, and utilize their benefits not by calling insurance carriers or reviewing paper forms, but by using HR and benefits software. Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60k – $70k

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking individuals to join their growing team of Junior Financial Analysts reporting to the Manager of Finance Operations. Junior Financial Analysts are responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of health insurance plan data. They research, acquire, interpret, and QA information from multiple sources and use different platforms for manual data entry.

Responsibilities of the Junior Financial Analyst:

  • Obtain data from numerous external sources
  • Identify new data sources
  • Identify and resolve quality and completeness issues
  • Collaborate within a larger team but have ownership of your assigned workload

Qualifications of the Junior Financial Analyst:

  • 1 – 2 years of financial analysis/data entry experience
  • Exhibit the ability to handle heavy input of data with a high level of accuracy
  • Have strong transcription skills
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn internal software systems
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have an eye for detail and accuracy and the ability to work independently
  • Have a love for data
  • Start-up or early-stage company experience is a plus

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
