Salary/Hourly Rate:

$18/hr – $25/hr DOE

Position Overview:


The company is looking for a Junior-Mid Formulations-Scientist to become a part of their Formulations team. The Junior – Mid Formulations Scientist will have a friendly demeanor, professional work ethic and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Junior – Mid Formulations Scientist:

  • Formulating/batching, stability and viscosity testing, potentially color matching (based on product line) and troubleshooting processes in regards to the development of new personal care products
  • Developing batches from scratch and improving on existing batches
  • Multitasking in the lab
  • Strictly adhering to a cGMP environment and following necessary safety protocols
  • Communicating and acting in a highly professional manner
  • Following correct channels to address technical or other issues in supporting the lab work
  • Maintaining a highly organized and accurate lab notebook of all work completed

Qualifications of the Junior – Mid Formulations Scientist:

  • Academic or industry experience working in a laboratory setting
  • Creative problem solving with professionals inside his or her team as well as outside
  • Experience working with raw materials, color, ink, synthesizing and adhesives is a plus
  • Expertise in chemistry, understanding surface-interface properties, and surface characterization is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to share and teach in the area of expertise

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or any science-related field is required
  • Associate’s or technical degree with additional work experience also acceptable
