Our client is a global scientific company that has various branches of research and production laboratories. They utilize the optimization and innovation of biotechnology to ensure quality product while researching new methods of production. They are looking to add Laboratory Associates to their Quality Control Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology departments.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$17/hr – $19/hr DOE

Position Overview:

The Laboratory Associate will be responsible for assisting in non-complex testing and batch making, preparation of testing, production of materials, and strictly following SOPs and current regulations specific to their department.

Responsibilities of the Laboratory Associates:

  • Follow and be familiarized with current SOPs and company regulations
  • Prepare buffers, master mixes, specimen, and chemicals needed for testing and production
  • Assist in batch making and routine testing of raw materials and finished products
  • Produce a strict laboratory notebook of testing procedures
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment problems during the testing and production process
  • Evaluate output of experiments to optimize or scale up its applications
  • Maintain and sterilize the lab station, equipment, and machinery
  • Calibrate machines and perform daily quality control checks
  • Preform any other task assigned to you by your supervisor

Qualifications of the Laboratory Associates:

  • 0 – 1+ years of academic or industry lab experience is preferred
  • Recent graduates open to apply

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field
