Laboratory Technician

Our client provides a professional and state of the art environment, currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team to support all laboratory operations.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$18 – $22/hr Dependent on experience

Position Overview:

This company is seeking a Laboratory Technician who is eager to learn and bring fresh energy to the team. The Laboratory Technician role will provide the candidate with an opportunity to gain experience with an industry leading organization. The ideal candidate will need to be passionate about their work and should come from an academic background in Chemistry, Biology, or similar science.

Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician:

• Receive, label, and analyze samples
• Making batches, testing the batches for pH, viscosity, particle size
• Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings
• Organize and store all chemical substances and fluids according to safety instructions
• Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
• Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies

Qualifications for the Laboratory Technician:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment to manage multiple requests and meet timelines
• Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field is required
