Our client, a global organizer of trade shows and conferences across different sectors, is seeking a Lead Service Desk Specialist to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$100k – $105k

Position Overview:

The Lead Service Desk Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day support for all staff IT issues in the office. The Lead Service Desk Specialist will support desktop computers, printers, basic network troubleshooting, remote access, business applications, and phones. This is a hybrid role in Midtown.

Responsibilities of the Lead Service Desk Specialist:

  • Address user tickets raised in ServiceNow regarding hardware, software, or basic networking issues and see through to resolution
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
  • Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal 3rd line teams
  • Administer the group active directory to create new users, update information, and remove old users
  • Administer Microsoft Teams-based phone system including the configuration of new users and leavers
  • Inventory and maintain record of workstations / laptops in the configuration management database
  • Basic diagnostics for LAN networking infrastructure issues
  • Some travel required for events

Qualifications of the Lead Service Desk Specialist:

  • 3 – 5 years of service desk experience, including remote support
  • Experience supporting both Mac and Windows environments
  • Experience supporting Office 365 and Google Workspace
  • Working knowledge/experience of the end user equipment build process
  • Basic experience with network stack / routing / firewalls / VPN

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
