They are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join their dynamic Legal team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$45k – $60k

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate for the Legal Administrative Assistant role will provide comprehensive administrative support to the attorneys, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our legal department.

Responsibilities of the Legal Administrative Assistant:

  • Administrative Support: Assist attorneys with day-to-day administrative tasks including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings.
  • Document Management: Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports. Maintain and organize both physical and electronic files.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries and providing updates on case status as needed.
  • Research: Conduct legal research and compile data for attorney review.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Assist with billing processes, including time entry and preparation of invoices. Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other relevant authorities, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines and procedures.
  • Travel Coordination: Arrange travel itineraries, accommodations, and transportation for attorneys as required.
  • Office Management: Order office supplies, manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors and service providers.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to ethical standards and company policies.

Required Experience/Skills for the Legal Administrative Assistant:

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in MA litigation experience.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Legal Administrative Assistant:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant or in a similar role within a legal environment.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Attributes:

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
