Our client is a Property Management company located in Boston, Massachusetts. With a storied history of providing best in class service to their tenants, our client is looking for a self-starting Legal Assistant to assist their General Counsel. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a legal assistant at a busy law firm.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50,000 – $60,000

Position Overview:

The Legal Assistant will be instrumental in assisting the General Counsel in completing their daily tasks. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for completing e-filing of legal documents, assist with the drafting of legal documents, and aid in legal research. The ideal candidate will be expected to travel with the General Counsel to all scheduled court dates and aid the General Counsel when they are in court.

Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant:

  • Assist in the drafting and preparation of legal documents and correspondence
  • Manage and maintain the legal filing system
  • Complete e-filling of documents and other legal paperwork
  • Maintain the General Counsel’s calendar ensuring that company meetings and court dates are scheduled
  • Answer phone calls, send emails, and aid in the general communication between the company and the General Counsel
  • Accompany the General Counsel to all court dates and assist during the court proceedings

Qualifications for the Legal Assistant:

  • At least 1 years of experience as an assistant in the legal field
  • Experience completing the e-filing of legal documents
  • General knowledge of court proceedings
  • Experience conducting legal research
  • Have easy access to a car and be able to travel to court with the legal counsel

Education Requirements:

  • Paralegal certificate
