The employer is an industry leader in consumer products. They have a friendly but fast-paced environment that will challenge employees to perform at their highest level of success. They are currently in need of a Manufacturing Operator.

Salary/Hourly Rate:  $14-16/hr

Position Overview:  The Manufacturing Operator will be supplying components and bulk to the line with the appropriate material.  This person will be moving material and supporting the packaging line when needed (non-repetitive activity). He/She must be able to perform simple task instruction given verbally by the Line Operator, Packaging Floor Supervisor, and/or other members of the Management Team.  He/She will assist in the operation of packaging lines, perform in-line quality checks as required by line assignment, and comply with GMP’s.

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Operator:

  • Performs line startup/clearance according to SOP’s
  • Ensures the accuracy of materials/bulk against the Work Order and obtains the correct finished goods specification for posting on line
  • Initiates and completes all paperwork associated with the packaging and filling operation, i.e., startup checklist, labor sheet, IC/Micro form
  • Utilizes the computerized inventory system (ADC & RF) for material support of the packaging operation
  • Performs Quality Surveillance at required intervals or as needed
  • Identifies product defects and takes appropriate action to correct the defect
  • Initiates pocket defect form for component/bulk defects identified during the filling and packaging operation
  • Performs product testing against specifications where required
  • Performs and/or assists in product and line changeover
  • Assists in line P.M. when required
  • Assists mechanics during mechanical downtime
  • Actively interacts with UP/QA staff to maximize quality, production, waste reduction and to provide a safe work environment

Qualifications for the Manufacturing Operator:

  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment and independently analyzing test results, making adjustments as necessary
  • Positive energy and great oral and written communication skills
  • A hands-on approach to solving problems
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards including cGMP

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
