Position Overview:
The Media and Public Relations Coordinator is an ambitious, well-rounded communicator who excels in fast-paced and collaborative environments. Responsibilities of the Media and Public Relations Coordinator:
- Help plan and deliver PR and/or marketing deliverables to clients/coworkers
- Administrative duties such as copying, filing, emailing
- Suggest innovative ideas in brainstorming sessions with the team
- Edit and proof-read press releases as an extra eye
- Maintain order and organization
- Research and update on client’s PR needs
Qualifications for the Media and Public Relations Coordinator:
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Have a solid understanding of marketing and PR strategies
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Creative and quick-thinking
- Strong interpersonal relationship building skills
- Keeps up with the news and pop-culture
- Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) and good listening skills
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred
