Medical Assistant

Our client is a multidisciplinary medical practice looking for a passionate Medical Assistant to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$18/hr – 20/hr

Position Overview:

This company is seeking a passionate Medical Assistant to join their team. The Medical Assistant will be assisting with patient care, patient flow, procedures, and clerical duties. The Medical Assistant must have prior experience as a Medical Assistant. Certification is not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:

• Collects payments from patients, provides account balance, and issues receipts. Posts payments to the correct accounts
• Opens and closes batches daily as required and prepares bank deposit bags
• Answers the telephone promptly and deals with callers needs
• Takes an accurate message when needed and delivers to the appropriate individual
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner
• Schedules and enters diagnostic tests and procedures into order management system, following all appropriate workflows

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:

• MUST have prior experience as a Medical Assistant. Certification is ideal but not required
• Should be comfortable dealing with various demands of patients
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner

Education Requirements for the Medical Assistant:

• High school diploma or GED is required
