Our client, a leader in the healthcare industry, is looking for an organized Medical Receptionist to join their medical practice.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$18/hr – $20/hr

Position Overview:

The Medical Receptionist will work in the call center and will be responsible for an array of activities related to patient intake and care, including checking-in patients, as well as verifying information supplied by patients. The Medical Receptionist must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities of the Medical Receptionist:

  • Greeting and directing patients into exam rooms
  • Scheduling patients appointments and making reminder calls
  • Obtaining patients’ addresses, contact details, insurance information, and medical histories
  • Assisting patients in filling out patient history forms, consent forms, and payment contract forms, when necessary
  • Reviewing patient accounts, identifying delinquent accounts, and collecting overdue payments
  • Answering, investigating, and/or directing patient inquiries or complaints to the appropriate medical staff members
  • Following up with patients to ensure their inquiry or complaint has been satisfactorily resolved
  • Performing administrative and clerical duties, such as filing paperwork, when necessary

Qualifications of the Medical Receptionist:

  • Experience in a medical call center is a PLUS
  • Ability to travel to New Brunswick and Lawrenceville when needed
  • Experience working as a Medical Receptionist
  • Professional manner and appearance
  • Knowledge of medical terms and practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
