PACKAGING / PRODUCTION OPERATORS (1ST, 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT)

The company is for a growing branded business, with a friendly but fast-paced environment that will challenge a Packaging / Production Operators (1st, 2nd and 3rd shift) to perform at their highest level of success.

Salary: $16 – $18/hr

Position Overview: The Packaging / Production Operators (1st, 2nd and 3rd shift) position will be a 6 month contract (plus potential extension) assignment, looking to hire immediately and offering competitive Medical/Vision/Dental options, 401K, Life Insurance, Short & Long Term Disability, PTO Reimbursement and more.

Responsibilities of the Packaging / Production Operators (1st, 2nd and 3rd shift):

  • Handle inspection process, and package the product Clean and operate Forklift, Pallets or Semi-Automatic welding machine as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s)
  • Ensure standard operating procedures and cGMP are followed
  • Communicate equipment or processing issues to the different Production Manager
  • Performs routine cleaning of the packaging floor, line equipment and the surrounding areas in compliance to SOP’s
  • Performs line startup/clearance according to SOP’s
  • Perform other functions as assigned
  • Ensures the accuracy of materials/bulk against the Work order and obtains the correct finished goods specification for posting on line
  • Lifting boxes / Cutting boxes open
  • Supplying components and bulk to the line with appropriate material
  • Moving material when needed

Qualifications for the Packaging / Production Operators (1st, 2nd and 3rd shift):

  • A minimum of at least 1 year of manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience is required
  • Knowledge in GMP/ OSHA or Manufacturing safety training required
  • Must be able to observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions
  • Knowledge or Experience in using Production, Manufacturing or Warehouse equipment
  • Can demonstrate good hand and eye coordination
  • Understands specific work order flow
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to keep arms bent for prolonged periods of time
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Forklift Operator and use of semi-automatic welding experience is a big plus

Education Requirements:

  • Industry experience is more important than education, but qualified candidates will likely have a minimum of a High school diploma or GED is preferred
