Patient Account Collector

Our client, a national healthcare leader who specializes in home medical equipment. Our client provides high quality medical products and customer care throughout the country and they are seeking a Patient Account Collector to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$14.30/hr

Position Overview:

The Patient Account Collector will be responsible for the collection of assigned accounts and securing payment. The Patient Account Collector will make outbound calls/receive inbound calls with a focus on call quality, call flow and final disposition of the accounts assigned.

Responsibilities of the Patient Account Collector:

• Receive payment and ensure proper posting to customer accounts
• Monitor overdue accounts using the billing system
• Notify customers of delinquent accounts with the attempt of collecting outstanding amounts
• Negotiate credit extension when necessary
• Arrange for debt repayment or establish a repayment schedule

Qualifications for the Patient Account Collector:

• Minimum of two years customer collections experience
• Experience handling both inbound/outbound customer calls
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and use computer and telephone consistently

Education Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED is required
