Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25/hr – $32/hr (Up to $65k once permanent)

Position Overview:

The Payroll Administrator will assist with various payroll functions, ensuring that our client’s payroll is processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This role will also play a pivotal role in collaboration with the People Operations teams in order to ensure that all items related to employee compensation, time and attendance, benefit deductions, PTO/sick leave accruals, leaves of absence, and applicable ad-hoc payments and reimbursements are processed fully and without error.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator:

  • Responsible for all aspects of payroll processing
  • Must be knowledgeable of payroll practices, able to read and interpret payroll reports and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Collect and verify employee data, process timecards, compute wages, and ensure employees receive correct payments in a timely manner
  • Explain to employees their pay and items affecting their pay
  • Work with ADP partners to ensure we are optimizing the system for efficient processing
  • Participate in creating and updating payroll standard operating procedures

Qualifications of the Payroll Administrator:

  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Experience assisting the payroll process, preferably with experience in a multi-location environment
  • Knowledge and experience working in ADP EV5
  • Ability to analyze, research, and resolve payroll inquiries
  • Previous experience in system integration
  • Previous experience in benefits administration is preferred, but not required
  • A detail-oriented, organized, self-starter
  • Ability to work independently, have great attention to detail
  • Data-entry skills required, and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent customer service skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a plus
