Our client, a supply chain management company, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$27/hr – $30/hr

Position Overview:

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for managing payroll processing and governance for the company population. They are tasked with answering payroll-related questions and managing relationships between HR representatives.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator:

  • Through use of the software ADP Workforce Now and ADP Time & Attendance, support the processing of weekly and semi-monthly payrolls
  • Respond to employees in timely manner regarding payroll related issues or inquiries
  • Calculate and enter hours and earnings for hourly (exempt and non-exempt) and salary employees, docked pay, bonuses, commissions, shift differentials, severances, and short term disability as directed
  • Report to the Director of Human Resources and maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Act as the liaison between the HR Business Partners and the Payroll Provider, ADP, to ensure payroll changes are processed accordingly
  • Analyze payroll errors and collaborate with Human Resources Business Partners, Benefits and managers in order to resolve issues
  • Review, monitor, and process 401(k) changes on a weekly basis
  • Partner with the Finance team to generate GL output files and reports and assist team in troubleshooting and analyzing any GL issues
  • Work with the Finance team and managers for payroll reconciliations and quarterly adjustments

Qualifications of the Payroll Administrator:

  • 2 – 5 years of functional payroll experience is required
  • FPC and CPP certifications are preferred
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or other ADP products is required
  • Workday software experience is preferred
  • Multi-state payroll experience is preferred
