Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and detailed Payroll Administrator to join their team. The ideal Payroll Administrator will be hardworking with a hands-on mentality. Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must for the Payroll Administrator. This is a unique opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator:

  • Collect and verify timesheets for compliance, accuracy, and completeness
  • Compile and enter payroll data into ADP I-9 audits to ensure that the new-hire I-9s are received and compliant
  • Review post-processing payroll reports
  • Perform payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, terminations status changes, wage garnishments, deductions, expense reimbursements, per diems, and direct deposits
  • Ensure all payroll records are maintained, distribute paychecks, and prepare manual checks as needed
  • Responsible for enrolling, changing, and terminating policyholders from group insurance plans
  • Respond to unemployment and child support notifications
  • Prepare, maintain, and properly close out direct purchase orders

Qualifications of the Payroll Administrator:

  • Payroll experience
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Detailed and highly organized
  • General HR experience/understanding is a plus but not required
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Software such as Microsoft Office (proficient Excel) and ADP Workforce Now is a plus but not required

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required
