Our client is a company that has been around for almost 100 years in the chemical manufacturing industry and is looking to hire a Payroll Analyst to join their growing business.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$30/hr – $35/hr

Position Overview:

The role of the Payroll Analyst involves the management and facilitation of payroll, benefits, and HRIS system operations, ensuring the prompt and precise delivery of payments and information.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst:

  • Address inquiries from employees regarding hours worked, pay, and accrual of time off.
  • Ensure accurate updates of new-hire information and employee changes prior to payroll processing.
  • Thoroughly review timesheets to verify correct editing and approval of all timecards.
  • Conduct payroll reconciliation and validate generated reports before transmission.
  • Process special payments, bonuses, and off-cycle adjustments as required.
  • Handle involuntary deductions, including levies and garnishments.
  • Maintain and update documentation of payroll procedures.
  • Fulfill employment verification requests.
  • Generate necessary payroll reports from the HRIS system.
  • Assist with year-end reconciliation and distribution of W-2 forms.
  • Administer updates to employee 401K information in the HRIS system prior to payroll processing.
  • Manage deduction changes for new hires, current employees, and those who have left the company.
  • Input and maintain accurate records of paid time off accruals.
  • Produce essential benefit reports from the HRIS system as needed.

Qualifications for the Payroll Analyst: 

  • Will have 3+ years of experience. 
  • Strong preference for candidates with UltiPro experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multi-state payrolls.
  • Proficient understanding of the correct taxation of employer-paid benefits.
  • Familiarity with ADP or similar payroll applications.
  • Exemplary attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management .
