Our client, a national company that has a long history of innovation in the car rental industry and is one of the world’s top brands for customer loyalty. They are now looking to add a Payroll Clerk to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $22 – $24 DOE

Position Overview: The Payroll Clerk will assist with varying office duties to ensure the successful administration of the location.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Clerk: 

  • Assist with general office duties (i.e. computer processing, typing, filing, etc) to aid in the administration of the location
  • Ensure differential payments are calculated appropriately for each of the work groups (i.e. shift differentials, lead differentials, etc)
  • Assist with requesting manual checks for employees when needed and ensuring that the check gets to the right person in a timely manner
  • Assume responsibility for accurately completing paperwork, processing, and communicating reports to directed individuals as assigned by management
  • Notify management or employee of any missed punches or other payroll discrepancies that need to be corrected
  • Follow and maintain Quality Assurance Standards as issued by the company
  • Track employees out on Workers Comp and Leave of Absence
  • Track attendance records to ensure PTO is used appropriately
  • Close payroll ever two weeks
  • Successfully complete Wizard Based Training
  • Successfully complete JDA trainging

Qualifications for the Payroll Clerk: 

  • 1-2 years of previous customer service experience 
  • Excellent customer service ability
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent computer and typing skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including; weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Ability to maintain and project professional behaviors
  • Valid drivers license may be required if driving of cars is necessary at location
  • Ability to understand the PTO policy to ensure it is applied to employee time cards correctly

Education Requirements: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
