Plant Accountant

Our client, a reputable manufacturing company, is looking for a Plant Accountant to join their team based out of Winter Haven, FL. This is an unique opportunity for a Plant Accounting professional to join a well-known organization.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$75k – $85k

Position Overview:

The Plant Accountant reports to the Controller and will work alongside a team of 6 other accounting professionals. The ideal Plant Accountant will be responsible for handling all accounting for the plant, including creating various financial statements, forecasting, and general ledger accounting.

Responsibilities of the Plant Accountant:

• Prepare journal entries and accruals for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with budgeting/forecasting and cost/trend analysis
• Responsible for cost accounting
• Perform BOM analysis, updates, and standard cost rolls
• Reconcile and analyze inventory balances
• Support internal and external auditors for annual and quarterly audits

Qualifications for the Plant Accountant:

• 3+ years of equivalent work experience is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel)
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
