A booming consumer product business focusing on sound products is constantly adding innovation and new ways to provide amazing sound to consumers! They’re looking for a PR Manager to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$90,000 – $100,000 (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

The PR Manager will create, build, and implement a full year PR plan inclusive of National/Regional earned media coverage that will directly increase significant growth in overall brand awareness and have a positive impact on sales within each of the sales channels. The ideal PR Manager will design and develop new/ongoing communication initiatives to increase company’s top-of-mind and unaided awareness in North America, cementing the company’s position as a leading audio brand. The PR Manager will also create, manage, and deliver a comprehensive strategic national (U.S. and Canada) communication plan resulting in frequent and qualified earned media placement.


  • Build a network of brand advocates in North America including journalists, tastemakers, and industry experts
  • Secure brand feature stories that focus on company’s heritage and three main brand pillars
  • Build relationships and increase regional press coverage to support our key accounts
  • Develop a press and retail outreach strategy for product launches and corporate messages to defined editorial and wholesale audiences
  • Create a press outreach strategy for existing products that are important for the brand’s positioning and on-going sales success
  • Deliver a press outreach program to coincide with relevant gifting periods and cultural moments for North America


  • 7+ years of all-round experience in tech or luxury goods brand and public relations
  • Expert knowledge in brand and communication strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to speak to press and media
  • Established partner to the media with an existing contact list
  • Strong relationship building skills with prospective media partners
  • Agility to adjust approach and message based on the audience
  • Overall strategic understanding of return on investment
  • Strategic thinker, but pragmatic implementer
  • Highly organized and analytical
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint
  • Exceptional presentation, verbal and written skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships internally and externally
  • Understanding of technology, luxury and lifestyle market including trends, products and players
  • Understanding or ability to quickly learn the consumer electronics market including trends, technology, products and players
  • Ability to travel as required

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Public Relations/Marketing is preferred
