Our client, a full service utility contractor, is seeking a Procurement Operations Leader to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate: 

Up to $115,000 plus bonus

Position Overview:

The Procurement Operations Leader is a key member of the Procurement/ Supply Chain Team, building strong relationships with partners and teams

Responsibilities of the Procurement Operations Leader:

  • Develop and implement operational strategy and plans that set a clear path for effectively, supporting the objectives of the Procurement Services Team to meet Corporate, Business Unit and Regional needs
  • Procurement Operations Leader will drive effective department communications strategy that connects solutions to stakeholders based on where they are and what they do
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to the existing business process or supporting applications during and after development, and throughout operational periods
  • Create workflows, tools, and templates that support standardizing common-work within the department with an objective toward ease-of-use and low maintenance requirements in order to bring a professional standard to the operational elements of Procurement
  • Lead implementation of procurement tool(s)
  • In collaboration with the Business Analyst, design, deploy and drive Procurement performance measurement activities, including the monitoring and reporting on KPIs and industry benchmarks
  • Manage and mentor direct reports encouraging professional growth & development

Qualifications for the Procurement Operations Leader:

  • Procurement Operations Leader must be a strong communicator who can build relationships, influence direction and successfully lead change management in a highly decentralized environment
  • Proven track record of delivering tangible results such as improved process cycle time and quality and customer service delivery performance, etc
  • Experience developing and implementing data solutions for a Procurement organization or other relevant experience that will support delivery of significant improvements in Procurement data management
  • Strong tendency to learn and grow, individual who is passionate about innovation and recreating themselves constantly
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and changing priorities and should be able to respond to unplanned critical events resulting in increased workload, which may require work in addition to normal working hours
  • Relevant experience leading teams and managing staff

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • CPSM a plus
