Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70k – $90k (Based on experience)

Position Overview:

The Procurement Specialist will handle all procurement and purchasing responsibilities for the company. This role will evaluate, select, and establish relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts for goods and services, and track their progress to make sure orders are filled and delivered timely.

Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist:

  • Full cycle vendor sourcing and rate negotiation
  • Review vendor accounts and collaborate with the internal Legal, Quality Assurance, and Finance teams to ensure formal review, approval, and signing of vendor accounts
  • Analyze market data to procure products at a competitive cost from a robust supply chain network
  • Analyze the overall vendor base and current vendor relationships, identify gaps, and drive improvements
  • Collaborate with the BD team on tenders with strategic sourcing, cultivating relationships with prospective manufacturers and wholesalers providing a value solution for the client
  • Manage established vendor relationships to ensure effective and proactive communication (i.e. availability, pricing, delivery timelines, payment terms implementation, changes in scope etc.)
  • Full cycle purchase order management
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and pricing in the system

Qualifications of the Procurement Specialist:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a purchasing environment
  • Strong base knowledge of project-based scheduling, purchasing, and shipping processes
  • Prior healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience is highly preferred
  • Bilingual Mandarin speaking is a plus

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in a related field is required
