Our client is an organization in the food & beverage industry looking to add a Production Planner to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65k – $75k

Position Overview:

The primary objective of the Production Planner is to create and maintain a rolling production plan, based on current and future work orders. The Production Planner will identify and solve production bottlenecks to ensure capacity is met.

Responsibilities of the Production Planner:

  • Contribute to developing and maintaining a daily production plan consistent with plant capacity and resources by utilizing the best fit criteria for efficiency and cost savings to meet customer demand.
  • Work closely with the material planning team to provide the most efficient production schedule, considering impact on operating assets and inventory levels.
  • Lead weekly operational meetings with the Production teams to discuss the current production plan, required staff, sets priorities, and overcome obstacles encountered.
  • Respond to demand and supply changes in a timely and accurate manner in order to minimize production downtime and maintain efficiencies.
  • Determine root cause and preventive actions for any missed orders related to planning.

Qualifications for the Production Planner:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of planning experience.
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working with an MRP system, SAP is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Engineering, or a related field is required.
