Our client, a start-up company focused on innovative vehicle storage, service, and charging solutions for bikes, cars, vans and buses. They are seeking a Project Engineer to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60,000 – $70,000

Position Overview:

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning all project work, being part of a team to bring the project from design to completion, controlling each of the steps along the way, and solving any problems that occur. The Project Engineer processes/manages material deliveries – ensure that materials received are properly inspected for quantity and quality and are in compliance with contract documents.

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

  • Work closely with Project Managers on Project Deliverables
  • Manage testing and commissioning of MEP systems
  • Management of key sub-contractors
  • Manage and negotiate subcontractor and material contracts
  • Assist in updating the project schedule and ensure milestones are met
  • Coordinate and schedule shop drawings and submittals
  • Maintain a complete and current record of submittals, approvals and resubmittals, including a file of letters of transmittal and dates of each transaction
  • High level of involvement in the operations of our cost control system
  • Participate in monthly forecasting revenue and cost accruals
  • Process and estimate change orders and requests for information as directed by the Project

Qualifications for the Project Engineer:

  • Proficiency in basic engineering computations and analysis
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks or drafting software is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and computer skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience) is required
