Our client is a well-respected research organization that offers a safe and highly regulated work environment. They are seeking a Project Manager – Scientific Research to coordinate research efforts for cross-functional teams conducting drug discovery research. This client offers a positive and forward-thinking culture, focused on preclinical neuroscience research. Due to recent accomplishments, the company is growing and hiring in multiple areas and departments.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80k – $100k

Position Overview:

The Project Manager – Scientific Research will primarily be supporting a VP – level Scientist, in addition to joining two scientific managers on the team. The Project Manager – Scientific Research requires proactive follow-up and a high level of polished verbal/written communication as this person will be working directly with multiple departments and clients. At any given time, the Project Manager – Scientific Research could be juggling 10+ projects simultaneously so organization and attention to detail are necessary.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager – Scientific Research:

  • Manage and track project milestones and deliverables
  • Ensure alignment of all teams involved in each project
  • Prepare, track, and oversee budget and cost tracking
  • Run project team meetings with accompanying follow-up items
  • Present project updates and deliverables to executive leadership

Qualifications of the Project Manager – Scientific Research:

  • Professional scientific research experience. Neuroscience, pharmacology, biotech, or drug discovery is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience is preferred
  • Experience working independently to manage simultaneous projects

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related Science with 4 – 5 years of professional experience, or
  • Master’s degree in a related Science with 2 – 3 years of professional experience, or
  • PhD with 0 – 2 years of experience
