Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70,000 – $80,000

Position Overview:

The Property Accountant is responsible for performing accounting and financial analysis. The Property Accountant is responsible for the accounting function, financial analysis and reporting for a portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:

  • Preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual investor financial statements
  • Maintain detailed financial workpapers and supporting schedules
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and preparation of monthly reports for review by senior management
  • Prepare annual CAM and Real Estate Tax reconciliation charges to tenants
  • Assist with coordination of information to external auditors
  • Perform other assigned duties and complete ad hoc projects, as required

Qualifications for the Property Accountant:

  • 1+ year of accounting experience in commercial real estate preferred
  • 2 to 4 years of accounting experience required, public preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, while meeting deadlines
  • Quick study with the willingness to learn new systems and the eagerness to grow with the company
  • High degree of personal integrity and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field is required
