They are looking to add a Psychiatrist / Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their team. The services provided are through state-of-the-art technology-enabled services, community wellness programs, advocacy and education work. They specialize in suicide prevention, health, technology, healthtech, crisis support, crisis hotlines, mental health, public health, veterans, data analytics, community programs, advocacy, education, text, chat, workplace wellness, and crisis planning.

Position Overview:
The Psychiatrist / Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will assess, plan, and evaluate the mental health and care of adult individuals with mental illness. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing the duties of a psychiatrist including completion of psychiatric assessments and updates, medication management, and psychiatric crisis intervention. The position also requires strong writing and computer skills to ensure compliance with OMH and Medicaid requirements. The schedule is Monday – Friday from 10 AM – 6 PM with flexibility on hours. This role might require weekends sometimes depending on the schedule. Our client is open to part time candidates.
Responsibilities of the Psychiatrist / Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP):
- Conduct patient intake and follow-up consultations to evaluate eligibility, prescribe, and monitor patient outcomes in person and community visits
- Perform and document psychiatric evaluation of all individuals admitted to the clinical component of the program including travel to clients’ residences
- Provide crisis intervention including emergency hospital admission support
- Facilitate medication management and symptom management support groups
- Perform and document psychiatric updates as needed and required
- Review and assess individualized recovery plans
- Maintain up-to-date charting and other documentation as required
- Actively participate in daily team meetings and weekly clinical meetings
- Participate in monthly incident review committee meetings
- All other duties assigned
Qualifications for the Psychiatrist / Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP):
- Experience with adults patients
- Experience with SPMI (Severe and Persistent Mental Illness) population is preferred
- Experience and interest in community psychiatry is a plus
- Excellent computer literacy skills Bilingual/bicultural is a plus

- NYS license
- DEA certification
