Our client is an established consumer and food products developer. They are currently seeking to hire a Quality Control Manager to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80,000 – $100,000

Position Overview:

The Quality Control Manager team on testing and inspection to fulfill all quality, safety and regulatory guidelines. Provide support to Quality Assurance and Production to ensure streamlined quality output and project fulfillment.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Manager:

  • Manage lab and inspection teams on project priority and schedules
  • Ensure full compliance to all safety guidelines as per SOP, GMP, SQF, HACCP and other rules applicable to facility
  • Ensure all raw materials, in-process and finished products are tested in accordance with set guidelines
  • Ensure all equipment in good operation and assist in troubleshooting in cases of discrepancies
  • Assist in equipment validation
  • Ensure sufficient inventory of raw materials and vendor support. Ensure up-to-date SOP and lab data
  • Coordinate with QA, production and regulatory to ensure full QC compliance
  • Assist in discrepancies reporting, root cause analysis, CAPA and audit activities
  • Perform performance review, training and coaching, promote team building
  • Manage projects assigned and miscellaneous duties

Qualifications for the Quality Control Manager:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or related disciplines
  • Experience in regulated lab & production environments
  • Experience in raw material, in-process and finished products testing
  • Experience in HPLC, GC, titration, particle size analysis, texture analysis, pH, brix, Karl Fischer or other related lab or wet chemistry techniques
  • Experience in GMP, HACCP, SQF standards Validation experience a plus
  • Packaging inspection experience a plus
  • Computer and data analysis skills
  • Project management skills
  • Leadership skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or related disciplines
