Quality Specialist

Our client is a specialty chemical organization that supports a variety of industries including consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and more. They are seeking a Quality Specialist to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$35/hr

Position Overview:

Our client is looking to add a Quality Specialist to their team to focus on QA documentation related to an GMP facility as well as some QC testing utilizing chemistry based instrumentation. The Quality Specialist review Certificates of Analysis and any applicable release documentation, e.g. Certificates of Compliance, Certificates of Conformance, Temperature Data logger reading.

Responsibilities of the Quality Specialist:

• Maintain release/reject documents in Document Management System
• Maintain and prepare local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and associated forms
• Assist with review and approval of deviations/investigations, labeling and change controls, as needed
• Collaborate with interdepartmental personnel to provide support for new product launch
• Additional lab testing as needed

Qualifications for the Quality Specialist:

• Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Outgoing/self-starting personality who is able to work independently
• Able to work in a collaborative environment
• Working knowledge following SOPs, document management/control system processes
• Some experience in Quality from a GMP environment

Education Requirements:

• Associate’s degree is required
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
