Our client is a successful consumer products company that is motivated by high-quality output and competitive industry innovation. This company develops and manufactures new products to keep consumers engaged and attract fresh consumer markets. They are currently seeking an R&D Lab Associate to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$18/hr – $27/hr DOE
Position Overview:
The R&D Lab Associate is a self-motivated individual that supports the R&D process. R&D Lab Associate requires strong knowledge of chemistry and is responsible for communication, data organization, aggregation of raw material information and careful analysis for out of spec or unexpected data trends.
Responsibilities of the R&D Lab Associate:
- Work strictly in a professional office setting to catalog raw materials for the client database
- Use chemistry knowledge to review raw material information and pinpoint inconsistencies or unusual data trends to perform very concise data management and organization
- Contact suppliers to obtain all knowledge on the raw materials
- Compile and review information for accuracy and completion
- Navigate internal software systems
Qualifications of the R&D Lab Associate:
- Some technical/professional experience (personal care and cosmetics preferable) or may be a graduate without industry experience but a strong desire to apply Chemistry research and knowledge to an administrative role
- Strong chemistry knowledge and application
- A solid knowledge of raw materials from the pharmaceutical, flavor, fragrance or the personal care industry
- Computer savvy including strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly pick up on new software as introduced
- Wonderful oral and written communication skills including the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly without confusion
- Multi-tasking and independent time management Organization skills with the ability to manage one’s own day
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
