Our client is a well-respected NJ-based contract manufacturer that focuses on chemical research, production, and new product development and is currently going through massive growth. They are currently seeking an R&D Lab Technician to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20/hr – $22/hr

Position Overview:

The company is looking for an entry – level candidate who can bring energy and fresh skills to the team. The R&D Lab Technician position will provide an opportunity for learning and development in a professional lab setting. This position will give a lightly experienced R&D Lab Technician the opportunity to increase their industry knowledge and understanding in relation to lab work and documentation. Our client believes firmly in the professional growth and development of all their employees. This is a great entry – level role to begin a career in new product development! This role is open to May 2022 graduates.

Responsibilities of the R&D Lab Technician:

  • Calibrating and maintaining lab instrumentation
  • Following safety standards and regulations (GMP and GLP)
  • Prepping, running, and analyzing data for product samples and raw materials
  • Formulating new products and performing quality inspections
  • Keeping a lab notebook and inputting data
  • Chemical and/or physical properties testing
  • Administrative or clerical support (occasionally)

Qualifications of the R&D Lab Technician:

  • Some experience with formulations is a plus
  • An eye for detail and passion for science
  • A passion for working hard and being an active team member
  • The ability to lift samples and stock lab materials

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required
