Our client manages and develops global properties with the objective of maximizing long-term value. The present portfolio includes hospitality properties along the East Coast. Our client is seeking to hire a Real Estate Asset Manager to join this team that is part of a group of international business whose subsidiaries own and operate assets in over 50 countries.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$80k – $120k
Position Overview:
The Real Estate Asset Manager will oversee six properties in the U.S. (three offices in NY, FL, and DC and three 3 boutique hotels in NH and MA). This position will be primarily remote, though occasional travel to these properties will be necessary and a candidate already living in this region is preferable.
Responsibilities of the Real Estate Asset Manager:
- Lead implementation of existing asset´s strategies including supervision of the operator and any CAPEX works
- Approve and supervise FF&E reserve
- Develop immediate and longer term asset plans covering the life cycle of properties under management and spearhead new initiatives and strategies in evolving markets
- Seek out and make recommendations for new investment opportunities
- Work across the investment process to assist internal decisions regarding hold/sale of assets
- Prepare quarterly reviews of assets, annual business plans, and budgets
- Assist with supervision and coordination of external and internal parties
- Assist with interaction and engagement with internal teams e.g. Analysts, Transactions, Property Management, Property Accounting, law firms and Finance, Design, and Construction
- Work collaboratively within the company to ensure goals are in place to achieve overall strategies and growth plans
- Monitor quarterly and yearly valuation processes
Qualifications for the Real Estate Asset Manager:
- 5 + years of experience in the U.S. hotel/office management market and a demonstrated track record in real estate asset management, including hotel assets
- Ability to supervise and oversee work
- Experience with overseeing budget
- Ideal candidate has a technical background
- Strong IT literacy with particular focus on Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrable track record within real estate asset management, including asset management performance of hotel assets
- Strong Finance, budget, and planning skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and network successfully
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
