Our client, a well-established not-for-profit, is seeking a Receptionist to be the welcoming face in their Manhattan office! The ideal candidate should be looking to join a culture of like-minded individuals who are making an impactful change.

$20/hr – $22/hr

Position Overview:

The Receptionist plays a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and warm environment for all visitors. This role is best for someone who can multi-task, stay organized, and interact with a wide variety of people. For this Receptionist role, the ideal candidate should have prior experience with light administrative work or working a front desk at an establishment. As our client is a not-for-profit, the Receptionist should be interested in working for a company with strong morals and like-minded people.

Responsibilities of the Receptionist:

  • Greet all visitors with a warm welcome and direct them appropriately
  • Manage the security system and receives all packages
  • Answer all phone calls and emails to the office in a professional and timely manner
  • Perform necessary clerical duties such as printing, faxing, copying, etc.
  • Maintain an organized and clean front waiting room and desk

Qualifications of the Receptionist:

  • Friendly, professional, and welcoming personality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Advanced multitasking abilities and proactive nature
  • Desire to grow within the company
  • Passionate about working for a not-for-profit
  • 1+ years of experience with light administrative work

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
