Client Overview:
Our client, an established fashion company, is seeking a Sample Assistant to join their established team. Their women’s, men’s, apparel, and accessories lines are sold in department, e-commerce, and specialty stores nationwide.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$18/hr
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Sample Assistant with experience with sample management and or related experience from a fashion company. This role requires strong operational skills and an understanding of product lifecycle calendars and physical sample tracking. Fundamental requirements include the ability to communicate, strong follow-through, strong organizational skills, ability to manage and adhere to clear deadlines, and flexibility to work with multiple teams.
Responsibilities of the Sample Assistant:
- Unpack and sort boxes of physical product samples.
- Receive samples digitally, locate the correct sample records, record receipts, and track sample locations.
- Digitize physical samples by taking images of samples based on pre-determined guidelines.
- Manage the storage of samples, picking up samples from Merchants once their reviews are complete.
- Data entry on Excel.
- Communicating effectively with different teams including Product Development, Merchandising, Buying, Production, etc.
Qualifications for the Sample Assistant:
- Sample trafficking or Sample Management, Inventory, or Fashion Assistant experience.
- Great planning, organization, and communication.
- Ability to respond positively and act with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to multi-task/manage multiple projects with concurrent deadlines.
- Team player, assertive, and personal motivation.
- Must have previous fashion or retail experience.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma is required.
