Scientific Data Analyst

Our clients is a biotech company currently seeking a Scientific Data Analyst to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65k DOE

Position Overview:

The Scientific Data Analyst will work collaboratively with bench scientists, comprehend project objectives, and evaluate and provide informatics solutions.

Responsibilities of the Scientific Data Analyst:

• Provide data quality control to internal teams in the lab and office
• Assist in developing and implementing data analyses, applications, and workflows to expand our client’s genomics and data processing capabilities
• Collaborate within the group as well as cross-departmentally
• Strictly follow SOPs and the Supervisor’s guidance

Qualifications of the Scientific Data Analyst:

• Must have 2+ years of data analysis experience
• Strong knowledge of biological processes is required
• Knowledge of basic NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) technology is preferred
• Proficiency in or the ability to learn and utilize Linux is required
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, are essential
• Can work independently and in a team with positive attitude

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Computer Sciences and/or related disciplines is required
• Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Computer Sciences and/or related disciplines is preferred
