Our client is a leading bioanalysis lab working with companies to develop and apply advanced data analysis of complex biologics. They are open to Scientist candidates looking to relocate.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$110,000 – $135,000
Position Overview:
The Scientist is responsible for new method development, validation, and sample analysis of specific nucleic acids. The Scientist will perform new method development, validation, and sample analysis for CMC, preclinical and clinical studies. Salary and title is dependent on experience and level.
Responsibilities of the Scientist:
- Design experiments, organize and analyze results and communicate progress to the group
- Supervise and train analysts and junior scientists and troubleshoot assays
- Manage material, equipment and instrumentation
- Identify, monitor and manage external providers for sourcing of molecular-biology specific reagents and activities
- Order and keep accurate inventories of supplies for laboratory needs and forecast future needs based on projected needs
- Conducts critical review of results and reports data appropriately
- Write SOPs, study plans and reports
- Provide client satisfaction, quality and on-time delivery
- Communicate with clients, as needed
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications for the Scientist:
- Direct experience with new method development and validation in support preclinical and/or clinical trials
- Expertise in molecular biology techniques and in sequence analysis software
- Proficiency in at least two of the following techniques: automated nucleic acid extraction, rtPCR, digital droplet PCR, nanostring, and branched DNA assays
- Excellent technical capabilities with analytical expertise in method development and/or specialty technology
- Experience in CMC, shedding, and bio distribution studies supporting the pharmaceutical development of cell and gene therapies
- Familiarity with LIMS
- Experience working in GxP environments and demonstrated knowledge of GxP regulations
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with 8+ years of experience in a scientific laboratory environment is required
- PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with 5+ years of experience in a scientific laboratory environment is preferred
