Our client is a research-driven organization focusing on drug discovery projects. They are currently seeking a Scientist to join their team.

Position Overview:
The Scientist will join a dynamic group to design, develop, and perform projects on biochemical and enzymatic assays.
Responsibilities of the Scientist:
- Assist in designing and executing experimental protocols of biochemistry studies to support drug discovery projects
- Define relevant reagents and instrumentation to conduct assays
- Develop and validate assays, including automation and execution
- Analyze, interpret, report and present findings
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date logbook & accurate data and protocol archives
- Participate in formulating follow-up experiments
Qualifications of the Scientist:
- Experience in drug discovery projects and research is essential
- Experience in enzyme characterization and/or inhibitor studies is highly preferred
- Experience in plate-based assays with multiple technology formats, e.g. Luminescence, fluorescence intensity, fluorescence polarization, TR-FRET, AlphaScreen, etc. is highly preferred
- Understanding of the principles underlying drug-target interactions
- Additional skills in label-free detection and analysis of time-dependent inhibition, general training in molecular biology, cell culture, protein expression & purification, cell-based assays, ELISA, FACS, IHC, etc. is highly desirable
- Analytical and data interpretation skills are essential
- Good computer and analytical skills
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s / Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biology or related scientific disciplines, senior degree is preferred
