Our client is a large bioanalysis lab in Boston looking for a solution-oriented Scientist (Gene and Cell Therapy) to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$115k – $135k

Position Overview:

As the Scientist (Gene and Cell Therapy) you will lead development and validation of molecular assays to bring novel gene and cell therapies to the market. This job works with a wide variety of clients evaluating the performance of a wide range of medicine treating different types of diseases.

Responsibilities of the Scientist (Gene and Cell Therapy):

  • Develop and validate molecular assays for novel gene and cell therapies
  • Plan and direct experimental design and execution
  • Collaborate with clients to drive bioanalytical projects with team
  • Advise clients on molecular assay best practices
  • Author and review documents (plans, SOPs, and reports)
  • Perform statistical analysis of bioanalytical data

Qualifications of the Scientist (Gene and Cell Therapy):

  • Strong background in qPCR and RT-PCR for assay development and validation
  • Familiarity with ddPCR is preferred
  • Proven success in designing efficient and impactful experiments
  • Thorough understanding of Good Documentation Practices
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team and clients
  • Bioanalytical lab experience
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory guidance and industry best practices for bioanalytical assays
  • Demonstrated expertise in molecular assay development
  • Nucleic acid extraction and detection experience, qPCR, RT-PCR, ddPCR, and molecular assay development and validation
  • GDP, GLP, GCLP, and GCP experience

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of lab experience, or
  • PhD with 2+ years of lab experience
