The employer is a small company in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech sector. They have a friendly but fast paced environment that will challenge the scientist to perform at their highest level of success. This role is supporting the sales and Process Analytical Chemistry Department.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$100,000 – $150,000

Position Overview:

This Scientist will support the sales department by bringing in their technical skills in Process Analytical Chemistry, Optical, and Molecular Spectroscopy with a focus on UV-VIS, NIR and Raman. The Scientist will have a business acumen, a comfort giving technical presentations and the ability to work with clients to find solutions using the company technology.

Responsibilities of the Scientist:

  • Developing application science for studies, wet chemistry analyses GC, HPLC, spectroscopic data analysis, collaboration with chemometricians
  • Lead the development, implementation, and integration of NIR, UV-Vis, FTIR, Raman, and Raman imaging technologies to various aspects
  • Present new technologies to potential clients with a strong emphasis on technical skills in optical, molecular spectroscopy with a focus on UV-VIS, NIR and Raman
  • Project management of studies in plant Instillation, and IQ, OQ, PQ
  • Strong knowledge of Process Analytical Chemistry (PAT) Technology which would be used to present sales opportunities for potential clients

Qualifications for the Scientist:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in handling of NIR, UV-Vis, FTIR, Raman, and Raman imaging
  • Confident sales personality as this role is primarily presenting Process Analytical Chemistry (PAT) equipment to potential clients
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • The ability to problem solve unique situations involving instrumental technology
  • Ability to travel for trade shows and to meet with clients
  • Strong familiarity with the current pharmaceutical industry trends in instrumental technology

Education Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Pharmacology, Analytical Chemistry, or Biotechnology is required
