Senior Accountant

Our client, a midsized family-owned business, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their Middlesex County location. This is a newly created role and will be a part of a tight-knit team of 9 with an unmatched work/life balance.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$75k – $85k

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger accounting and assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system
• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and file and reconcile accounts
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes if necessary
• Bank reconciliations Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
• Accomplish accounting and the organization’s mission by completing related results as needed

Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:

• 5+ years of progressive GL experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and vlookups)

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
