Senior Accountant

Our client is a privately owned specialty healthcare organization seeking to identify a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a wonderful company with a purposeful mission and small family feel with an incredible office environment (resort style!).

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70k – $82k

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting duties as well as prepare financial results. The Senior Accountant will have exposure to C-Suite executives and will help implement and overhaul process improvements.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Book month-end adjustment entries and prepare monthly financial packages including detailed explanations of any variances
• Analyze the balance sheet, as well as key performance indicators (KPIs) and flash reporting
• Manage commission reporting and assist with payroll processing
• Maintain pricing in the system, accounting for other sales, reconcile variable rent bills, and investigate any discrepancies and report them
• Handle intercompany balances and transfers and perform internal audits
• Research and provide explanations for any variances from expected results

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

• Ability to critically analyze and reason with financial information, as well as design and create spreadsheet to present financial information for use in company decision-making process
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• SAGE Software experience is a plus

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• MBA is a plus
