Senior Accountant

Our client is a credit reinsurance company based out of New Jersey and is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Accounting Team. This company is rapidly growing and looking for an individual who is motivated and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$30 – $35/hr

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will use their expertise in the areas of monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries, compile & analyze financial results, and support audit processes. The Senior Accountant must possess strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Assisting with initial internal control evaluations
• Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
• Aid and supervise accounting staff
• Maintaining general ledger charts of accounts
• Analyze financial statements and discrepancies

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

• 2 to 4 years of Accounting experience is required
• Strong math and critical thinking skills are required
• Strong communication skills
• Must have the ability to multi-task
• Strong computer skills utilizing the Microsoft office suite with a heavy emphasis on Excel

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
