Senior Accounting Manager

Our client is one of the top building and construction companies in the commercial real estate industry and they are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team! They have multiple locations throughout the US and Canada and specialize in the industrial, civil and special projects markets. 

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$110,000 – $130,000

Position Overview: 

The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 8 – 10 employees. They will provide strategic oversight, financial management, and partner with executive leadership on special projects.

Responsibilities of The Senior Accounting Manager:

• Managing and overseeing the accounting department
• Consolidating financial reporting for the region
• Reviewing and analyzing adjustments, submissions and reports to ensure they are completed in a timely manner
• Ad hoc reports
• Year end reporting
• Managing internal and external financial audits
• Project accounting and overseeing the project setup, maintenance, and adjustments

Qualifications of The Senior Accounting Manager:

• 8 – 10 years of accounting experience in the construction or a related industry
• 3 – 5 years of supervisory experience
• Full-cycle accounting, project forecasting and budgeting
• Strong managerial skills with the ability to delegate and coordinate activities 
• Advanced MS Excel skills and ERP system knowledge

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
