Senior Assistant Property Manager

Our client is a well-established residential property management company located in Boston. They have properties located across Massachusetts and specialize in market rate residential properties. They are looking for an ambitious Senior Assistant Property Manager to join their growing team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$75k – $85k + bonus

Position Overview:

The Senior Assistant Property Manager will work alongside the Property Manager at one of the properties consisting of 450 units. The Senior Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for managing the financials for the property including creating the budget, creating monthly variance reports, and capital ex expense reports. As the Senior Assistant Property Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the property runs efficiently and is preforming well financially.

Responsibilities of the Senior Assistant Property Manager:

  • Manage a portfolio of about 450 market-rate, residential units.
  • Create and manage the budget for the property.
  • Create monthly variance reports and stay up to date on current market conditions to maximize profit
  • Manage a team of 4 individuals including an Assistant Property Manager and Maintenance Technicians.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to your team.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and answer any concerns they may have.
  • Collect and post rent in Yardi.
  • Manage the move-in/move out process.
  • Assist in the new resident screening process.

Qualifications of the Senior Assistant Property Manager:

  • At least 3 years of experience in market rate residential property management.
  • Experience working at a Market rate property with 300+ units.
  • Experience creating property budgets and assisting with variance reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
