Our client, a media and gaming company, is looking for an impressive Senior Data Analyst / Manager to join their Finance Team at the West Los Angeles office. The candidate must be data driven, possess strong communication skills, and have relevant industry experience in order to succeed in the position.

Position Overview:

The Senior Data Analyst / Manager will join the cohesive Analytics Department, reporting directly to the Director of Analytics, and will work primarily on digital marketing, digital analytics and data analysis. This is a fast paced department that provides extensive exposure to a variety of projects.

Responsibilities of the Senior Data Analyst / Manager:

  • Hands on experience in digital marketing, digital analytics and digital analysis required
  • Providing analytics and reports to the Marketing Team
  • Perform analysis on Google Analytics and Excel
  • SQL writing
  • Ensuring data integrity and data quality assurance
  • Ability to work with large sets of data
  • Reporting, tracking and monitoring data trends
  • Make recommendations for marketing and product improvements
  • Forecasting and budgeting
  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • Revenue analysis and reporting
  • Profit and loss analysis
  • Budget vs actual and variance analysis
  • Vendor management
  • Discrepancy resolution and reconciliations
  • Ad hoc projects

Qualifications for the Senior Data Analyst / Manager:

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience within e-commerce, gaming or subscription based businesses highly preferred
  • Expert proficiency in Excel
  • Intermediate SQL experience
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Programming experience in R, SAS, or Python is a plus
  • Highly professional and trustworthy
  • Numbers and detail oriented
  • Problem solver and analytical
  • Excellent communication skills

Education Requirements:

  • The Senior Data Analyst / Manager is required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • Master’s degree preferred
